Virtual Dream is a band that I am particularly proud of, for a few reasons. The talent of Fabio Cerrone and Pierpaolo Ranieri, needs no introduction, judging from the turn out by their fans at our shows. The best thing about it is that we are a band, the kind that I had always dreamed of, where no one is superior or inferior to any other member. Work is always done with pleasure and with the utmost regard for the music. Of course the positive feedback that we've received from abroad and the dedication of our Italian fan base no doubt help us maintain this equilibrium, however these are not the only factors that keep the three of us together. In the current months we are working on a forthcoming CD that we hope to finish soon, and about which we are very enthusiastic. There are still a few copies of 'Casuality' available. For more information on the band go to Here are a few tracks from our show.

Blues In Vein are a creation of Stefania Calandra, to celebrate her love for good old-fashioned Blues. The formation of a Trio without Bass immediately created the need to explore means of expression that went beyond the canons of modern music, and that dug into the depths of primordial communication. It is strange to look back now, 4 years after our first concert, at how far we've come and how many projects we are preparing for the future. Brava Stefania!

The Scurvy Brothers is my pet project. I spent months wearing away the vinyl on 'The Nightfly' and playing Steely Dan music has truly been one of my highest emotional moments in music.
We have just released a double CD live album. For more details and information, see |

Lorenzo Feliciati is a veritable force of nature. We have known each other for more than ten years now, and I can say that we have actually played together, in the truest sense of the word.
His projects grow from his innate desire to express himself uninhibited by rules and limitations.
His dream of forming an original band goes way back and we have begun many projects throughout the years to this end.
I found a lot of the compositions of his amazing CD in dusty DAT (see Groove First or Don't Ask Me to Dance) on which we played with that thirst for expression that is still evident in his playing.
Our collaborations with Aiden Zammit and other fantastic musicians such as Agostino Marangolo and Alessandro Gwis only added to the experience, and I am pleased that he is finally receiving the recognition he deserves. Bravo Lorenzo! |

I began playing with Lello Panìco when the incredible Blue Messengers were still in existence, as a substitute for my good friend Luca Trolli.
Lello, besides being a tremendous guitar player, is one of the best songwriters that I have ever known.
An all-around great artist with whom it is always a pleasure to play...even at the 78th chorus of Guitar Solo!!!
The Fritz Gang evolves from a collaboration with Lello and Tim Fritz after several years of concerts both with the Messengers and in Trio. I am very proud of this album and I am honored to have had the opportunity to produce it with Biagio Pagano. |

Electric Reality is perhaps the shortest-lived band that I have ever seen. We are talking 2 or 3 months in 2003.
But this was easily predicted, as we are also talking about musicians with extensive professional commitments. We did have the time to put a repertoire together with which we played two amazing concerts and a recording session before the end.
However I'm sure that something else will come along soon...
Here are Ettore Gentile on piano, Massimo Pizzale on basso and Nicola Costa on guitar. |

On of my most recent projects is one in which I have been involved for just a few months. My collaboration with the Marco Giocoli quartet, comes out of an old friendship back when we played with the Tony Formichella quintet. The language is purely Jazz and all of the tunes are written by Marco, a great guitar talent with an obvious passion for Jim Hall and Pat Metheny. It is incredibly stimulating to play with this group because of the attention that must be paid to sonority and the dynamics that define this project. Ronald Moran and Juan Carlos Albelo, both Cuban, play the stand-up bass and violin, and chromatic harmonica, respectively. Marco, we are no doubt going to have a great time in the coming months!

Pilàr is a project born of an artistic encounter with Ilaria Patassini (Vocals), Franco Piana (Trumpet and Flugelhorn) and Fabio Stassi (Lyrics). The sonoric environment is one of musical craftsmanship with numerous pleasant references to the Portuguese fado and Jazz. Marco Camboni (stand-up bass), Gianni De Cerescenzo (piano and accordion) Giuseppe Tortora (cello) and Sabino De Bari (guitar).

Terzomando is a band re-formed in 2001 by my old time friends Claudio Pantaleone, Pierpaolo Borgia and Sergio Romano. I remember the first band appearances in the mid 90's and their sound was already very unique. Now their music and lyrics are heavily inspired by the music of Steely Dan, so the fact that they are part of my beloved Scurvy Brothers is not accidental. Who knows what is going to come out from their talents... www.thaliaservices.it/terzomando/
Check them out!!!
